CVE-2020-10942 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 3 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
In the Linux kernel before 5.5.8, get_raw_socket in drivers/vhost/net.c lacks validation of an sk_family field, which might allow attackers to trigger kernel stack corruption via crafted system calls.
CVE-2020-10933 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Ruby 2.5.x through 2.5.7, 2.6.x through 2.6.5, and 2.7.0. If a victim calls BasicSocket#read_nonblock(requested_size, buffer, exception: false), the method resizes the buffer to fit the requested size, but no data is copied. Thus, the buffer string provides the previous value of the heap. This may expose possibly sensitive data from the interpreter.
CVE-2020-10878 6 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Opensuse and 3 more 22 Fedora, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snap Creator Framework and 19 more 2024-11-21 8.6 High
Perl before 5.30.3 has an integer overflow related to mishandling of a "PL_regkind[OP(n)] == NOTHING" situation. A crafted regular expression could lead to malformed bytecode with a possibility of instruction injection.
CVE-2020-10774 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A memory disclosure flaw was found in the Linux kernel's versions before 4.18.0-193.el8 in the sysctl subsystem when reading the /proc/sys/kernel/rh_features file. CVE-2020-10772 2 Nlnetlabs, Redhat 2 Unbound, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 7.5 High
An incomplete fix for CVE-2020-12662 was shipped for Unbound in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, as part of erratum RHSA-2020:2414. Vulnerable versions of Unbound could still amplify an incoming query into a large number of queries directed to a target, even with a lower amplification ratio compared to versions of Unbound that shipped before the mentioned erratum. This issue is about the incomplete fix for CVE-2020-12662, and it does not affect upstream versions of Unbound.
CVE-2020-10769 2 Opensuse, Redhat 3 Leap, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A buffer over-read flaw was found in RH kernel versions before 5.0 in crypto_authenc_extractkeys in crypto/authenc.c in the IPsec Cryptographic algorithm's module, authenc. When a payload longer than 4 bytes, and is not following 4-byte alignment boundary guidelines, it causes a buffer over-read threat, leading to a system crash. This flaw allows a local attacker with user privileges to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-10768 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux Kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the prctl() function, where it can be used to enable indirect branch speculation after it has been disabled. This call incorrectly reports it as being 'force disabled' when it is not and opens the system to Spectre v2 attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10767 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the implementation of the Enhanced IBPB (Indirect Branch Prediction Barrier). The IBPB mitigation will be disabled when STIBP is not available or when the Enhanced Indirect Branch Restricted Speculation (IBRS) is available. This flaw allows a local attacker to perform a Spectre V2 style attack when this configuration is active. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10766 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A logic bug flaw was found in Linux kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the implementation of SSBD. A bug in the logic handling allows an attacker with a local account to disable SSBD protection during a context switch when additional speculative execution mitigations are in place. This issue was introduced when the per task/process conditional STIPB switching was added on top of the existing SSBD switching. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10763 2 Heketi Project, Redhat 6 Heketi, Enterprise Linux, Gluster Storage and 3 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
An information-disclosure flaw was found in the way Heketi before 10.1.0 logs sensitive information. This flaw allows an attacker with local access to the Heketi server to read potentially sensitive information such as gluster-block passwords.
CVE-2020-10761 4 Canonical, Opensuse, Qemu and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Leap, Qemu and 2 more 2024-11-21 5 Medium
An assertion failure issue was found in the Network Block Device(NBD) Server in all QEMU versions before QEMU 5.0.1. This flaw occurs when an nbd-client sends a spec-compliant request that is near the boundary of maximum permitted request length. A remote nbd-client could use this flaw to crash the qemu-nbd server resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2020-10759 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 6.0 Medium
A PGP signature bypass flaw was found in fwupd (all versions), which could lead to the installation of unsigned firmware. As per upstream, a signature bypass is theoretically possible, but not practical because the Linux Vendor Firmware Service (LVFS) is either not implemented or enabled in versions of fwupd shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and integrity.
CVE-2020-10757 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 13 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 10 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the Linux Kernel in versions after 4.5-rc1 in the way mremap handled DAX Huge Pages. This flaw allows a local attacker with access to a DAX enabled storage to escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2020-10756 5 Canonical, Debian, Libslirp Project and 2 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libslirp and 4 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in the SLiRP networking implementation of the QEMU emulator. This flaw occurs in the icmp6_send_echoreply() routine while replying to an ICMP echo request, also known as ping. This flaw allows a malicious guest to leak the contents of the host memory, resulting in possible information disclosure. This flaw affects versions of libslirp before 4.3.1.
CVE-2020-10754 3 Fedoraproject, Gnome, Redhat 3 Fedora, Networkmanager, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 4.3 Medium
It was found that nmcli, a command line interface to NetworkManager did not honour 802-1x.ca-path and 802-1x.phase2-ca-path settings, when creating a new profile. When a user connects to a network using this profile, the authentication does not happen and the connection is made insecurely.
CVE-2020-10751 2 Kernel, Redhat 4 Selinux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Server and 1 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernels SELinux LSM hook implementation before version 5.7, where it incorrectly assumed that an skb would only contain a single netlink message. The hook would incorrectly only validate the first netlink message in the skb and allow or deny the rest of the messages within the skb with the granted permission without further processing.
CVE-2020-10749 3 Fedoraproject, Linuxfoundation, Redhat 7 Fedora, Cni Network Plugins, Container Native Virtualization and 4 more 2024-11-21 6 Medium
A vulnerability was found in all versions of containernetworking/plugins before version 0.8.6, that allows malicious containers in Kubernetes clusters to perform man-in-the-middle (MitM) attacks. A malicious container can exploit this flaw by sending rogue IPv6 router advertisements to the host or other containers, to redirect traffic to the malicious container.
CVE-2020-10742 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt 2024-11-21 6.0 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. An index buffer overflow during Direct IO write leading to the NFS client to crash. In some cases, a reach out of the index after one memory allocation by kmalloc will cause a kernel panic. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and system availability.
CVE-2020-10737 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Oddjob 2024-11-21 6.3 Medium
A race condition was found in the mkhomedir tool shipped with the oddjob package in versions before 0.34.5 and 0.34.6 wherein, during the home creation, mkhomedir copies the /etc/skel directory into the newly created home and changes its ownership to the home's user without properly checking the homedir path. This flaw allows an attacker to leverage this issue by creating a symlink point to a target folder, which then has its ownership transferred to the new home directory's unprivileged user.
