In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix possible crash in bnxt_hwrm_set_coal() During the error recovery sequence, the rtnl_lock is not held for the entire duration and some datastructures may be freed during the sequence. Check for the BNXT_STATE_OPEN flag instead of netif_running() to ensure that the device is fully operational before proceeding to reconfigure the coalescing settings. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpftool: Fix NULL pointer dereference when pin {PROG, MAP, LINK} without FILE When using bpftool to pin {PROG, MAP, LINK} without FILE, segmentation fault will occur. The reson is that the lack of FILE will cause strlen to trigger NULL pointer dereference. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ring-buffer: Check for NULL cpu_buffer in ring_buffer_wake_waiters() On some machines the number of listed CPUs may be bigger than the actual CPUs that exist. The tracing subsystem allocates a per_cpu directory with access to the per CPU ring buffer via a cpuX file. But to save space, the ring buffer will only allocate buffers for online CPUs, even though the CPU array will be as big as the nr_cpu_ids. With the addition of waking waiters on the ring buffer when closing the file, the ring_buffer_wake_waiters() now needs to make sure that the buffer is allocated (with the irq_work allocated with it) before trying to wake waiters, as it will cause a NULL pointer dereference. While debugging this, I added a NULL check for the buffer itself (which is OK to do), and also NULL pointer checks against buffer->buffers (which is not fine, and will WARN) as well as making sure the CPU number passed in is within the nr_cpu_ids (which is also not fine if it isn't). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/region: Fix decoder allocation crash When an intermediate port's decoders have been exhausted by existing regions, and creating a new region with the port in question in it's hierarchical path is attempted, cxl_port_attach_region() fails to find a port decoder (as would be expected), and drops into the failure / cleanup path. However, during cleanup of the region reference, a sanity check attempts to dereference the decoder, which in the above case didn't exist. This causes a NULL pointer dereference BUG. To fix this, refactor the decoder allocation and de-allocation into helper routines, and in this 'free' routine, check that the decoder, @cxld, is valid before attempting any operations on it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: streamzap: fix race between device disconnection and urb callback Syzkaller has reported a general protection fault at function ir_raw_event_store_with_filter(). This crash is caused by a NULL pointer dereference of dev->raw pointer, even though it is checked for NULL in the same function, which means there is a race condition. It occurs due to the incorrect order of actions in the streamzap_disconnect() function: rc_unregister_device() is called before usb_kill_urb(). The dev->raw pointer is freed and set to NULL in rc_unregister_device(), and only after that usb_kill_urb() waits for in-progress requests to finish. If rc_unregister_device() is called while streamzap_callback() handler is not finished, this can lead to accessing freed resources. Thus rc_unregister_device() should be called after usb_kill_urb(). Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: imx-card: Add NULL check in imx_card_probe() devm_kasprintf() returns NULL when memory allocation fails. Currently, imx_card_probe() does not check for this case, which results in a NULL pointer dereference. Add NULL check after devm_kasprintf() to prevent this issue.

A null pointer dereference was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, macOS Sequoia 15.4, tvOS 18.4, visionOS 2.4. An attacker on the local network may be able to cause a denial-of-service.
